The first category shows how any material or structure can be seen as a gathering space or used as a canvas for co-creation. Without being illegal, how can one find creative alternative usages in banal objects that we encounter daily?

In the second category, setting up a new structure is a great way to redefine the nature of a space. It can help attract a new crowd of users, think about the future of that site, or host events. Doing minimal interventions is the first step to help people set up a self-organized lobby that can represent their interests.

For the last category, occupying an existing building is especially useful when it is abandoned or when a group wishes to reflect on its future program. It is a political gesture; a powerful action that advocates for personalized future needs.
